(WOW! Would you believe that this is our 375th post?)
Megan has this cute little blue jumper that I swear is jinxed. Every time she wears it, disaster (in the form of a mess) is soon to follow. Why I still put it on her, I have no idea.
Today was no exception. I put it on her thinking that since I wasn't going to be here for a few hours (classes started again at NEIT) that maybe she'd make it without incident.
Nope.
Get this, less than 15 minutes before the babysitter was to arrive and I had to leave, I'm getting the rest of my stuff together in the office. Ryan comes in and says, "Megan's a mess." I didn't think anything of it until he said it again and then looked down the hall at her as she walked into the office.

I don't know if the noise that came out of my mouth could be heard by anyone outside of the house - but I'm SURE if it was heard, the police would have been at our door just minutes later! I felt as if I was moving in s.l.o.w m.o.t.i.o.n. as I ran to TRY to keep her away from anything she might touch! Didn't happen though.
The next thing I know, peanut butter is smeared all over Ric's chair, a cardboard box that has some genealogy in it, the large leather chair in the living room, and various hand prints on the carpet! Not to mention my pants!
(I couldn't let the moment go by without taking a picture - and I got a good one, but then the battery on the camera dies!)
So I grab the offending child and throw her in her high chair so that I can at least restrain her while I try to clean her up. (No time to throw her in the tub!) I also grab the OTHER offender - the one who moved his stool from the bathroom to the kitchen - grabbed the peanut butter off the counter - took it into the living room - unscrewed the lid, and then gave it to Megan - and threw him in his room and locked the door. First, so that I wouldn't KILL him, and second so that he'd be out of the way as I cleaned up the mess!
By this time, I'm sweating like crazy, just in time to run out the door and teach my class. I think I must have used half a container of clorox wipes AND half a package of baby wipes to clean her all up! Peanut butter was EVERYWHERE!
My guess is that she's not allergic to peanuts. I'm sure we would have had a worse incident if she was. Combine this with a
previous PB episode, and we're pretty sure she's skipped that allergy!
I think, as cute as it is, I'm going to throw that darn jumper away! (None too soon!)
