While You Were Sleeping...

Yesterday, when Ric got home from work, I jumped into the shower. Apparently, Ric dozed off, and Megan went to town with the permanent marker!

The funniest part of all this? Ric didn't even realize it until later that night! He had no idea that he had become the canvas to one of her projects! Even better...we didn't discover her "wall art" until this morning!

(Obviously we're two VERY OBLIVIOUS parents! hehe Notice the lovely circles behind her on the wall? Purple Permanent Marker - Thank goodness for Magic Eraser!)

Mrs.Campbell!

Ryan starts pre-school next week. Eeeek!

This past Thursday, his new teacher, Mrs. Campbell, came over for a visit. She's very nice. :)

She had Ryan draw for her while she asked questions to see what he liked to do. We're looking forward to the Open House on Friday night and then Ryan's first day next Wednesday!

For Your Listening Pleasure...

There's usually a lot of singing going on at our house - mostly Primary songs, and a lot of made-up songs too. For once I managed to get some of it on tape. This one's for you Sister Coates - after you've "painfully" taught the kids this song, at least it sank into Ryan's brain! :)

Too Many Posts at Once!

I know...first I hardly put anything up for a month or so; then I load you up with posts!

After fighting with Blogger and my images, I've decided to go around the image uploader and just FTP them myself and insert the pics with HTML code. (I don't teach the stuff for nothing! hehe) I guess there are others having the same problem with images.

Anyway, so these last few posts are heavy on pictures and light on words because I just want to catch up! Soon I'll be current and you'll have to READ these posts instead of just looking through pictures!

Wipeout!

As long as I'm playing catch-up, here's a little something that happened a few months ago.

Apparently, I either wasn't paying attention, or these two stinkers were too quick for me. Because while I wasn't looking, they pulled every wipe out of the package and threw it around their room! ALL 100+ of them!

I couldn't believe where they ended up, but also couldn't let this go by without taking a few pictures. In case you can't tell where the wipes are, I've circled them for you. :)

Not So Cheap Entertainment

It's kind of hard to see, but this was the view out our kitchen window a few weeks ago. See the "Monster" digging in our back yard? :)

When there's nothing to do on a Monday, might as well watch the guys hook us up to the sewer line, right? So that's what we did....allllllll dayyyyyy.

The kids LOVED it - the digger machines, the deep hole, and the pipes. (Who needs toys? Just get a couple of 6" PVC pipes and let them play!)






I have to say that I'm REALLY impressed with the precision this guy had while using the digger and what he could do with it! I guess that's why he's the one doing it!

All in all, it was a great day - and $1500 later we're now officially "flushing" to the Warwick Sewer System.

(If only the grass would grow back - not weeds! It looks like we gave the lawn a "bad haircut!")

It's all fun... until Darth Vader and Sponge Bob show up

This weekend we took the kids with some friends (GiGi, Dylan, and Tyler) to a "Touch a Truck" event. The weather was warm and muggy, but because we were by the water, we had a nice breeze.

The kids had a BLAST! Since we took tons of pictures, I've just put them into a slide show for you.

Oh...and now we know that Ryan is terrified of Darth Vader, Batman, and Sponge Bob Square Pants - in person. There were some characters there that you could take your picture with. Of course we thought that it would be fun since Ryan and Megan both know who these "people" are. Nope. Ryan completely freaked. Megan just kept waving to them.

Good thing that all went down towards the end of the show because Ryan insisted that we completely avoid the area after that. *sigh* At least we all had a good time up until that point!

Megan actually got into it after she figured out that the trucks are meant to be climbed on, in, and around. She was pretty fearless - as usual!
