SNOW! Lots of IT!
So on Thursday, while the sun was still shining, all schools announced that they were closing on Friday. Businesses decided to send their employees home early in anticipation of another snow fiasco like last year. Parking bans were in effect at 9:00 AM, HOURS before anything started happening! Can you say "overkill?"
That's the way we do it here in Li'l Rhody! :) At least it's entertaining to watch!
The snow started to fall around 2:00 pm - and around 3:30 it was pretty heavy. By the time 8:00 rolled around, we had about 10 inches on the ground! YEP - we were DUMPED on! Luckily, it wasn't all that heavy, because I was out there shoveling! (Much heavier this morning though! Glad I did most of it last night! And if you're wondering...I actually like shoveling, Ric had worked all day and I was glad to have a "break" from the kids!)
I took these pictures this morning - things are plowed, we've got the ruler in the snow keeping the tally, and I'm sure the kids will be outside later playing around in it. Right now, my toes are frozen and I'm getting ready to sit by the fire. (Good thing we brought the wood in from outside!)
