Sooo...what have we been up to?

A little bit of everything! :) Besides the eye doctor incident, we've been pretty busy, but not busy enough to relax! The temperature has been either 99 or 101 degrees outside. Because it's so dry out here, it's not horrible to be outside! (In the shade, that is!)

Wednesday morning we spent some time with a dry-pack canner. Canning everything from Oats, to rice, to popcorn and dried apples! The kids had to help too. Here's Ryan with his cousin Allison - who is 6 months older than he is. (And if you can believe it - more blond than he is!)

We have a lot of friends who live in RI temporarily for medical residencies, and then move back to wherever when they are done. Rustin and TeNeale and their 3 kids now live back here, so we visited for a little while. Unfortunately, we didn't take many pictures, but we had a great time visiting.

Our little musician, Megan, decided that she LOVED Guitar Hero and hopes we'll get it for OUR family too! (Yeah right!) She didn't stop bouncing the whole time the kids were playing with it!

(Thanks for having us over! We really enjoyed catching up and seeing your new little one!)

After visiting our friends, we stopped by the Jordan River Temple since Ryan hasn't been to one up close. (Not worth the hour drive to just look at the outside in Boston!)

This temple is located in South Jordan, Utah.

Of course, he just wanted to play in the fountain!

Ryan has enjoyed going out in the morning to pick peas with Grandpa Gordon or whatever is ready to be harvested.

Last night we set up a tent for today's festivities (BBQ with the WHOLE FAMILY! Just wait until we post pictures of THAT!)

Ryan did his best to help with every bungee cord he could find.

And then he had a ball running in and out (and in and out...)

Here's a view from the inside.

The neighbor behind us is pretty much a real cowboy...he's got half a dozen horses and other livestock. (More pictures to come once the kids have some fun with them.)

But last night he brought Patches, his 20-year old, Clydesdale over to hook her up to a trailer. The kids will ride on it today.

Yes...if you can believe it, there will be more to come. :)
