Home Sweet (HUMID!) Home!
We're back - and it's SOOOO good to be home. After the not so enjoyable flights yesterday, it was really nice to sleep in our own beds!
We had such a WONDERFUL time in Utah with our family. We really didn't want to come back! (Part of that may have been that we weren't looking forward to the flight back.)
Unfortunately, when we got to the SLC Airport, we found out that our flight to Baltimore was delayed an hour because of the weather on the East Coast :( That meant that an even more tired 2-year old was going to get restless, which he did.
In fact, both of them were pretty tired and unruly once we got on to the plane. Combine that with the fact that it was a FULL flight (Megan didn't have an extra seat and had to sit on our lap for 5 hours) meant that it was time for Benadryl! Wooo Hooo!
They slept most of the way, but Ryan kept waking up crying and talking in his sleep. We survived it though and we did make it to our Providence flight. All in all, we were home by about 11:30 pm - exhausted!
Before we left we stopped at my sister Kaylynn's house one more time to see them. Ryan LOVED the fact that Tyler played baseball with him. And both Railee and Tyler had to hold their littlest cousin again.
Ryan has pretty good form for a little guy! But the funniest part is that he wouldn't take his "B" out of his mouth for anything! Hmmm... I don't think that Manny started his career that way!
(By the way...as I type this, Ryan is sitting on the potty. Maybe seeing his cousins do it was a little bit of inspiration! We'll see! NO, he's not a potty stalker, I'm sure that Brandon wasn't all that discreet. hehe)
I also snapped a picture of the beautiful dog that's staying with them temporarily, her name is Kaya and she's a Malamute Mix. She's a total sweetheart, and loved licking Ryan's face! Hmmm... maybe that means I need to clean it more often! :)
We had a great time - and can't wait to see you all again! WE LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH!
(We especially miss the DRY air! It's like walking around in Orange Juice here!)
