So I....

....had a mammogram today! Woo Hoo!

I guess you know you're getting older when your doctor says that it's time. Today was my baseline, and hopefully, it won't change!

You know, it really wasn't that bad! In fact, it was over in 5 minutes, and just a little awkward, but didn't hurt like all the horror stories I've heard over the years. The machine is actually really cool - it takes really crisp digital pictures that the doctor can blow up huge so they can take a look at every little part. After each picture was taken (4 of them in all), the x-ray technician had me take a look. (Not that I wanted my boobs to be digitized or anything...but it was kind of cool to see "through" them!)

Anyway...if you are one who has put off your mammogram - don't! Technology is so advanced that it's really NOTHING to have one! Really!
