Organ Izing

Ryan asked me this morning what I was doing, I told him that I was organizing our food closet. The rest of the morning, he's been telling Megan that "Mommy's organ izing, Megan."

You know, it's HARD in such a little house to store 3-months of food we eat every day as we've been counseled to do! But...if I keep on "organ-izing" we'll find a way!

On the topic of preparedness...

I called the local Pepsi Bottling plant today to see if they sold their used 55 gallon barrels that held their syrup - I told him I just wanted to store water. They said they didn't, but they recycled them. They guy was kind of shifty in his answer...almost like I was going to have the barrel residue analyzed and steal the secret formula for their Diet Mountain Dew! Geeez!

So...I went one step further and called around, I found a company in Cumberland that picks up these used barrels from companies and recycles them (Hmmm... wonder who?) They've never sold to the public, but I asked if I could have 4 of them. (The guy probably thought I was crazy!) He called me back and said I could have them for $15 a piece - SCORE! Take that Pepsi! HAH! Looks like we'll be taking a road trip today or tomorrow! :)
