So sad...

At about 10:30 last night, my sister called to tell us that President Gordon B. Hickley (97 years old) had passed away.

He was such a great man full of vitality, humor and wisdom. What an incredible leader he's been for the past decade and more!

I had just become active again in the Church about 3 1/2 years ago when his wife, Marjorie, had passed away. I remember how sweet his words were during that October Conference. He missed her terribly, and who could blame him after 70 years of marriage? But he knew that he would see her again one day - yesterday was that day. What a glorious reunion celebration that must be!

We'll miss you President Hinckley - our love and prayers go to your family.
